QUETTA: The National Party staged protest demonstrations in major parts of Balochistan on Sunday against the lawlessness, extra-judicial and custodial killings of political opponents, enforced disappearances and gross violation of human rights in the province. A score of protesting leaders and workers of the NP staged a demonstration outside the Quetta Press Club and chanted slogans against the government for its failure to retain peace in the province. They were carrying placards and banners inscribed with the slogans like “Stop throwing mutilated bodies of Baloch political activists”. Addressing the protesters, NP leaders Jan Mohammad Buleidai, Sardar Kamal Khan Bangulzai, Mohim Khan Baloch, Sardar Rafiq Sher and others strongly condemned the enforced disappearances and recovery of mutilated bodies of Baloch political opponents. They said that more than 300 bodies of Baloch youths, all belonging to the political front, had so far been recovered. They went on to say that they had become victims of the kill-and-dump policy of the government.
