QUETTA: Three people, including a Levies spoy, were shot dead in separate incidents of firing in Quetta, Kalat and Tump, on Saturday. According to official sources, a Levies official, identified as Masood Ahmed, was on his way home to Tump bazaar, when unidentified assailants on a motorbike opened fire on him, killing him instantly. Levies personnel rushed to the spot and shifted the body of their colleague to the District Headquarters Hospital, Kech, for an autopsy. Law enforcement agencies termed the incident a target killing. Meanwhile, in Quetta, armed men tried to kidnap a shopkeeper, Mohammad Younus, and his companion, Mohammad Asad, at the Saryab Road, and at their resistance opened fire on them. Resultantly, Asad died on the spot and the would-be kidnappers fled the scene. Separately, a man identified as Ali Mohammad Lango was gunned down in Kalat Market, some 145 kilometres southeast of Quetta, by assailants on a motorcycle. Meanwhile, Ajab Khan, a resident of Peshawar, was injured in a firing incident in the Chitkan area of Panjgur district, when the victim was standing close by his shop.
