QUETTA, Sept 5: Two Frontier Corps personnel and a boy were killed when armed men opened fire on them at the Brewery road on Wednesday. “The victims received multiple bullet injuries and died on the spot,” DIG Operations Rehmatallah Niazi said.
According to police sources, two FC personnel were patrolling the Brewery Road area on a motorbike when some men riding a motorcycle opened fire with automatic weapons, killing them and a young boy, who was passing by the area at the time of the incident. The assailants escaped after the incident. Note: In past many months observers have noted a sharp change in Baloch tactics in engaging with enemy forces before the guerrilla war was mostly fought in mountains and rural areas, in recent month the fighting has been spreading in urban areas specially the capital city of Balochistan Quetta and other large cities, which is causing increasing anguish among security officials who used to feel safe in big cities, but the situation has been changing ever since the killing of Nawab Bugti.
