 Gas pipeline blown up in Dera Bugti
 QUETTA: Unidentified people blew up an 8-inch diameter gas pipeline in Pirkoh area of Dera Bugti on Thursday. According to official sources, unidentified miscreants attached an explosive device with the gas pipeline, which was supplying natural gas from well number 15 to a purification plant. As a result of the blast, a portion of the pipeline was blown up and gas supply to the purification plant was suspended. A heavy contingent of security forces reached the spot and cordoned off the area. Soon after the incident, repair work of the damaged pipeline was started. However, no loss of life was reported.

 Balochistan lawmaker’s wife, daughter assassinated
 Karachi: At least seven persons, including wife and daughter of a Balochistan Assembly lawmaker, were shot dead in a fresh outbreak of violence here. The wife, daughter and driver of the sitting MPA from Sibi in the Baluchistan province, Mir Bakht Yar Domki, were gunned down late last night near the Gizri bridge in the upmarket area of Clifton while they were going home. Domki is the grandson and his wife was the grand daughter of the late Baluch nationalist leader Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti, who was killed by security forces in 2005 while he was underground due to a clean up operation by the government in the province to combat terrorism.

 'Pak military initiated brutal operation in Bugti areas of Balochistan'
 Quetta, Jan 31 (ANI): Pakistan's military has reportedly started a brutal operation in the Bugti areas of Balochistan.
According to the Sri Lanka Guardian, Pakistan's military is conducting a wide operation with the help of gunship helicopters and fighter jets in Sui,Gopat,Pirkoh,Uch and adjacent areas.
Three, including a woman, have reportedly been killed, while over 15 Baloch villagers have been critically injured.

RAS AL KHAIMAH Iranian forces have killed eight border traders and injured another in the early hours of Thursday northeast of Chabahar port city on Pakistan border.

 QUETTA: Gunmen stormed a checkpost before dawn on Thursday, killing six soldiers, snatching their weapons and escaping in Balochistan province, officials said.
 Up to a dozen Baloch rebels attacked the paramilitary Frontier Corps (FC) post in the district of Dera Bugti, about 400 kilometres (250 miles) southeast of Quetta, the capital of Balochistan that borders Afghanistan and Iran.
“The attackers came before dawn and opened fire on the soldiers after encircling the checkpost. All six soldiers were killed on the spot,” a senior security official told AFP on condition of anonymity.
Another security official confirmed the attack and said that about a dozen gunmen were involved in the attack.
“They came on motorcycles and took away all the weapons after killing all the six FC men,” he said.

 Balochistan: ASI shot dead in Quetta
 QUETTA: An assistant sub-inspector (ASI) was gunned down on Sunday by unidentified assailants in the Zarghonabad area of the city. According to DIG (Operations) Nazir Khurd, unidentified armed men opened fire on a police van of the Zarghonabad Police Station. He said that ASI Habibullah got shot in the incident and died on his way to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH). Police have registered a case against unidentified men and an investigation is underway.

 Gas pipeline blown up in Pir Koh
 QUETTA: Unidentified militants blew up a 16-inch diameter gas pipeline near Pir Koh area in Dera Bugti on Friday. According to the sources, an explosive device was planted on a gas pipeline, which went off with a big bang disrupting gas supply from the wells no 15 and 17 to the gas purification plant. The law enforcement agencies rushed to the spot soon after the explosion and cordoned off the area to organise efforts to repair the damaged pipeline. Police have registered a case against unidentified men and started an investigation.

 Balochistan: Baloch killing continues, two more bullet riddle bodies found
 QUETTA: A bullet-riddled body was found near Sorap Dam area of Panjgur district, some 700 kilometres from Quetta on Tuesday. According to the Balochistan Levies, some passers-by spotted the body and informed them. They shifted the body to the District Headquarters Hospital Panjgur for an autopsy. The victim was identified as Munir Ahmed, and had been missing for the last six days. “The body had bullet wounds,” sources said. The family members said that they had no enmity with anyone.  US urges Pakistan to hold dialogue on Balochistan
 WASHINGTON: The US has urged Pakistan to “really lead and conduct a dialogue that takes the Balochistan issue forward”, says the US State Department.
State Department spokesperson Victoria Nuland addressed the issue in a “twitter-briefing” that the department holds every Friday, allowing people from around the world to tweet their questions to her.

 Two bullet-riddled bodies found in Chagai
 QUETTA: Two bullet-riddled bodies were found in Yak Mach and Shakar Aab areas of Chagai district on Friday. According to the Balochistan Levies, some passers-by spotted the bodies and informed the officials. Levies officials rushed to the spot and bodies were shifted to the nearby hospital. “The victims had bullet wounds in the head,” an official said, adding that the identities of deceased are still not known. However, an investigation has been launched by the Balochistan Levies into the incident.

 14 FC men killed in ambush off Turbat
 QUETTA: At least 14 security personnel, including two junior commissioned officers, were killed in an ambush in the Wakai area near Nawano checkpost, 100 kilometers off Turbat city on Wednesday night. Sources in Balochistan Levies said that a group of armed men attacked two vehicles of Frontier Corps (FC) in the mountainous area, which is about 50 kilometers off Buleida. The assailants first fired rockets at the vehicles.
