Dear Dr. Marri,
I understand your point of view and wish you success in your struggle. In general I don’t have any disagreements with you, but as far as our main point of discussion is concerned I understand Nawab Bugti did what he could possibly do in his situation. Had he not broken a deal which is whatever, what other options he had?
As I in the beginning of current insurgency and many times before have clearly said that arm struggle was last option and Baloch should not get excited with the few premature bangs here and there. But most of Baloch literates disagreed. Even though we all knew that these small skirmishes will get us nowhere and we end up crushed by the brutal establishment of Pakistan.
Nawab Bugti, unlike many other nationalist Sardars, wisely diverted the attention of Mohajer dominated media of Pakistan towards his local area, with sacrifices of a large number of Baloch from his tribe.
Had he not played this card Baloch cause would have been humiliated by Mohajer establishment with the help of Punjabi soldiers.
Good thing about Nawab Bugti’s deal is that he negotiated with Punjabis; not leaving any ground for Mohajer manipulation of Baloch cause for their gains, though Mohajers tried their luck as ever.
WE Baloch, Sindhis, Saraekis should try to put our case in a political manner. Just talking and criticising Punjabis will not solve anything. We must realise that even if there will not be a Pakistan in future we still be living with Punjabis and others as our closest neighbours. The losers will of course be Mohajers. They created Pakistan and they want to keep it at the expense of Sindhis, Baloch, Saraekis and Punjabis because Pakistan is their bread and butter.
Regards
