Recently, through newspapers, the Ministry of Education, Govt. of Pakistan has announced jobs for appointing fresh teachers. As a result, the forms were available at the designated HBL Branches on a cost of Rs.100/= each which is not less than a joke with the jobless people of Pakistan. Now according to the latest report, through clever selling of job forms to oppressed public, an huge amount of 2 Cror Rupees have been earned (or plundered) by the Ministry of Education, Govt. of Pakistan and there are also rumors that the â?~vacancies / seatsâ?T has already been sold on political basis and it was nothing but a big game & a proficient business. The governmentâ?Ts seriousness for earning money can be guessed by the incident that the forms were sold even after expiry of the last date (which was 23.2.2004). Internal corrupt officers of Education Department are also involved in kickbacks for fresh appointment and seats are being sold from Rs.40,000/= Rs.60,000/= each!
Such incidents of degrading of merit, plundering & making fool of public are common in Pakistan. Providing job forms on a handsome cost was originally introduced by the PIA (Pakistan International Airline), where job forms were invited with a conditional Pay Order or Demand Drafts of not less than Rs.1000/= each! There is no law & authority in Pakistan to stop such activities & poor public, time & again, in hope of finding a good job, vigorously invest their hard-earned money on such offers.
In the present set-up, Miss Zubaida Jalal (Federal Minister of Education) too, seems to be powerless & a mere dummy in hands of Musharrafâ?Ts Govt. On the other hand Mr. Musharraf has engaged himself in International & Nuclear / Missile issues, instead of putting His concern in the real & internal issues of Pakistan.
