QUETTA: Italian Ambassador Robert Mazota Thursday said that investors of his country express their willingness for investments in mineral sector particularly in exploitation of marble in Balochistan.
The envoy was talking to Balochistan Governor Awais Ahmed Ghani here at the Governor's House. The governor said that the provincial government would welcome the investments and assured him that he would extend his cooperation to Italian investors.
Awais informed the Italian envoy about the steps which have so far been taken for the development of the province. He also informed him about investment opportunities in various sectors in the province. During the meeting, they also exchanged views on matters of mutual interests.
BC Commandant transferred: The Balochistan Police Headquarters on Thursday notified the transfer of acting-Deputy Commandant Balochistan Constabulary (BC), SP Muhammad Akbar and posted him as acting-SSP BC with immediate effect.
Dry weather forecast for Quetta: The Regional Met Office has forecast dry weather for the provincial capital and its surroundings areas over the next 24 hours.
Maximum temperature Thursday was recorded here at 26.0 degree Celsius while the minimum at 5.0 degree Celsius. Humidity remained 17 per cent.
On Friday, the maximum temperature is expected to remain between 25 and 27 degree Celsius while the minimum between 05 and 07 degree Celsius.
The maximum temperature was recorded in Balochistan as 38.5 degree Celsius at Turbat while the minimum temperature as 3.5 degree Celsius at Kalat.Section-144 imposed in Quetta: City Nazim Quetta, Maqbool Ahmed Lehri has imposed ban under section 144 of Cr P C on the entry of unauthorized persons in the examination centres during supplementary examination of intermediate being conducted by the Federal Board in the district.
The nazim directed the owners of the photostat shops in the premises of examination centres to close their business during the examination hours.
